The zNoseŽ is the first electronic nose designed for security applications and can detect anything outside standard voc regulations. The chemical vapors and odors that are produced by explosives, chemical and biological hazards are identified using ultra-high speed gas chromatography.

Ultra high speed gas chromatography is able to use micro size samples to detect and recognize odors and fragrances based upon their full chemical signature. These samples are injected into a heated column for separation and analysis. The zNose uses gas chromatography calculations in a powerful manner for a variety of security applications, and can adaptively learn to recognize and alert on any target odor. Some applications include:

• Analyze suspicious odors and hazardous industrial materials
