Sensor Technology Appoints Barry S. Howe as the New COO of the Corporation

PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Sensor Technology (EST) (OTCBB:ESNR - News) is pleased to announce
the appointment of Barry Howe as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) to be
effective on April 11, 2007.

Mr. Howe was with Thermo
Electron Corporation from 1986 through 2004 where he served in various
executive positions. Thermo Electron Corporation provides process monitoring and
control instrumentation to the metals, chemical, environmental, food and
beverage industries. He joined Thermo Electron Corporation as the Assistant
Corporate Controller from 1986 to 1989. Mr. Howe was subsequently promoted to
President of Thermo Separation Products from 1989-1995; President and CEO of
Thermo Bio Analysis from 1995-1998; President and CEO of Thermo Spectra from
1998 to 2000; President and CEO of Thermo Optek from 1999 to 2000;
President-Optical Technologies Sector in 2000; and Corporate Vice President and
President-Measurement & Control Sector from 2002 to 2004. Before Thermo
Electron, Mr. Howe was with the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen and Company
where he was an Audit Manager from 1977 to 1985.
Mr. Howe received his BS
degree in Business Administration from Boston University in 1977.
